While riding my e-bike along the Kingsway, I noticed a small flatbed truck sitting in front of Doc’s Bike Shop.
(That is one great advantage of riding a bicycle or e-bike. You see a lot more than when you are driving a car and you can stop almost everywhere to get a better look.)
Never before had I seen a truck like this in Canada.
The tailgate and the two sides on this Japanese truck drop to allow for easy loading/unloading or to create a bigger flatbed.
This two-seater has the steering wheel on the right side. The gear shift is operated by the driver’s left hand. A three cylinder engine gives good gas mileage but it wouldn’t win any drag races.
It was early in the morning and the two workers were getting their stock of new bicycles out for display.
The small truck was one surprise and this bicycle-built-for-two was an even bigger eye-opener. Instead of having one rider sitting behind another, this bike has both riders sitting side-by-side.
This photograph shows the two sets of handle bars and pedals.
They also sell an assortment of e-bikes.
There are more e-bikes inside and a good selection of bicycles for all ages. They also have a large selection of accessories and they service what they sell.
But wait, there’s more. They stock a big selection of remote-control vehicles, plastic models and model glue, paints and brushes.
There are more interesting local stores and services in Sudbury than I expected to find this far north.
